West Texas Watercolor Society is composed of approximately 100 water media artists from primarily the West Texas area. The Winter Membership Show allows these artists to display and sell their beautiful art works, as well as compete for merit awards as judged by accomplished artist Megan Harris.

On Saturday, January 12th West Texas Wine Tours will visit 3 local wineries. Your approximate 6-7 hour tour includes a ride in our luxurious limo bus, premium tasting fees at all 3 wineries, and a snack along the way. Boarding will begin at 1:00pm at West Texas Wine Tours. Age 21 and up only.

It all began in Abilene, Texas in 1955, when Larry was six, Steve was four, and Rudy was two. Since those days, the road the brothers have plowed has won them countless awards and has taken them to numerous concert halls, festival stages, national television shows (The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Late Late Show, etc.) and even the White House on several occasions. The brothers have seen their music top the charts and touch the lives of fans of all ages.

West “Texas Country” Wine Tour by West Texas Wine Tours

We will visit a winery, a brewery, and include drop off and pick up at the Aaron Watson concert at Fair Park Coliseum (concert ticket NOT included). Your $99 tour pass includes your trip for the afternoon in a luxurious limo bus, tastings at the winery and brewery, and curbside limousine service for the concert. This tour will board at 2:00pm. 21 years of age or older.

TTU School of Theatre and Dance presents “Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson” @ National Ranching Heritage Center
Bloody Andrew Jackson is a blend of historical fact and fabrication that chronicles the rise of America’s seventh president from his boyhood spent in the wild frontier to his contentious term in the white house. Set in the early 19th century, the rock musical with music and lyrics by Michael Friedman and book by Alex Timbers explores Jackson’s militaristic, populist, and Native American policies that would forever change the landscape of the United States.

Lubbock Symphony – Winter Chamber Concert

The Chamber Series finishes with flair as a small chamber ensemble performs in the beautiful LHUCA, and the Lubbock Symphony presents an innovative concert experience including new music in a fun, casual atmosphere. Join us prior to the concert for a reception with heavy hors d’oeuvres and wine. Bring your friends and family for this exciting, intriguing evening!

22nd Annual Wine & Chocolate Fantasia
6:30pm – 8:30pm
Llano Estacado Winery is excited to host their 22nd annual Wine & Chocolate Fantasia on February 9th, 2019 from 6:30 – 8:30pm at the winery here in Lubbock! Chocolate Fantasia will feature over two dozen competitors that spend weeks designing a chocolate sculpture of their own creativity along with samples of chocolate delights for guests to enjoy. Over 5,000 samples were served at the 21st annual event, including a new savory category in which guests enjoyed shrimp drizzled with a white chocolate sauce and brisket bites smothered in creamy mole sauce.
Local celebrity judges as well as experts from across the country will be awarding prizes in categories including: Best of Show and a Judges’ Artistic Merit Award. This year we are pleased to announce that Man vs. Cake’s Aaron McInnis will be joining us as a judge! Guest votes are included in the People’s Choice and Champion of Savory Chocolate awards.
This annual event is put on in coordination with Llano Estacado Winery and the Southwest Parkinson’s Society. Tickets are available for purchase online, in person or over the phone at Llano. They are $75 a person with partial proceeds benefiting the Southwest Parkinson’s Society. Tickets include complimentary wine, chocolate samples, light hor d’oeuvres and a commemorative glass.

Lubbock Symphony – Rachmaninoff & Tchaikovsky

Our fourth Masterworks concert includes the music from Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky. Rachmaninoff’s “Piano Concerto No. 2” was dedicated to Nikolai Dahl, his physician, who is credited with curing his writer’s block during a state of depression. Tchaikovsky’s “Symphony No. 5” is one of his most-loved large-scale compositions.
